This model uses thermal-transfer printing (i.e., a ribbon that transfers ink to the label) rather than ordinary direct thermal. The printed content can last 8-10 years (and is oil-proof, waterproof, resistant to wear and extreme temperatures). 

NIIMBOT N1
This is essentially the same technology as the B18 (“thermal transfer”) and is also rated for “lasting up to 8-10 years,” with emphasis on durable, waterproof, scratch-resistant, fade‐proof labels. 

NIIMBOT M2 / M2_H
A higher resolution variant (300 dpi) labelled explicitly for “long–lasting labels — 8-10 years … anti-fade, anti-corrosion, and temperature resistant.

A: Yes. They are made of a high quality and resilient material. They do not lose their adhesiveness and are also tear-proof.
